Mae Sot hosts thousands of migrant families whose children have no access to formal schooling. YGM has secured land use for a two-room learning center that will serve 80 children in two daily shifts — Thai, Burmese and English literacy, numeracy, and a bridge program into Thai public schools.
The budget covers construction materials (the community provides labor), furniture, teaching materials and the first year of two local teachers' stipends. Construction receipts will be published in the documents section.
